In the Spirit of Fatima Al-Fihriya – For an Astral and Resilient Morocco!

We are a group of committed wo-men determined to take action for positive change in our country.
Following in the footsteps of Fatima Al-Fihriya, founder of the world’s first university, we aspire to build a Morocco that is stronger, more united, and more radiant.

Our initiative, Markaz Atadamon – “The Center for Solidarity”, is a pilot project in Morocco designed to lay the foundation for a Global Institute for Social Innovation and Community Resilience.

Our mission: to strengthen communities’ capacity to prevent and manage crises, while promoting solidarity, self-reliance, and local knowledge.

Morocco at the Forefront

Our choice of Morocco is no coincidence.
Its strategic position between Africa, the Arab world, and Europe – along with its long tradition of compassion and tolerance, makes it fertile ground for social innovation.

Our community centers, or “nodes of life”, will serve as spaces for learning, assistance, and hope, in urban areas, rural regions, and the desert alike.

They will host:

  • Small healthcare units for rural zones
  • Training in first aid, hygiene, water management, recycling, and civic resilience
  • Workshops in eco-construction and the transmission of local know-how
  • Small technological corners where wo-men and children, especially girls, and boys when possible, can discover the joy of tinkering, experimenting, and creating.
These spaces need not be expensive or fully equipped; they are meant to be fun, inspiring, and empowering, planting the seeds of curiosity and innovation from an early age.

Wo-men and Youth at the Heart of Change

During the pilot phase (18 to 24 months), we aim to:

  • Establish three model centers
  • Train at least 100 young change-makers
  • Develop multilingual educational materials (Arabic, French, Amazigh, and English)
  • Build networks of solidarity and dialogue

A Call to Action

We are now seeking concrete partnerships with individuals, NGOs, local institutions, and universities.

We need visibility, as well as logistical and financial support, to bring this innovative model to life.

This project has the potential to become a global reference for local resilience and human-centered leadership, but it all begins with a shared spirit of trust and cooperation.

Let us do everything we can, starting now, for an Astral, Resilient, and Inspiring Morocco.

A Note on Language

We write “wo-men” to express inclusion, a reminder that humanity’s strength lies in the cooperation and shared potential of all genders.
